Mentoring a team of entrepreneurs – Team Qetela!
I recently provided some mentoring a team of entrepreneurs from MEST Africa. MEST is a Pan-African entrepreneurial training program, seed fund, tech incubator and hub.
I was thrilled to receive this testimonial from the team in my inbox:
“We had the privilege of working with Ayaan, who served as an advisor to our team Qetela during our company build project at Meltwater school of entrepreneurship and technology. Ayaan is incredibly resourceful. He provided the team with current and relevant insights into the digital HR space. His seasoned experience and understanding of the industry helped the team navigate as we built our product. Ayaan is a brilliant team player, very responsive enthused to offer assistance at a moments notice.”
Team Qetela worked on a web based prototype that tackles the major challenge of employee disengagement in Sub-Saharan Africa.
According to Gallup 83% of employees in Sub-Saharan Africa are disengaged or not actively engaged. This results in up to 17% lower productivity and 21% reduced profitability for businesses with low engagement.
The team incorporated innovative gamification to help boost employee engagement. The solution they proposed covered the following features:
- Organisational alignment
- Team collaboration
- 360 feedback
Thanks Team Qetela and GOOD LUCK!
Thanks for your comments guys! I enjoyed mentoring such a great bunch of entrepreneurs! It was a pleasure to share my thoughts with you and I wish you all the success as you continue your journey.
